Certified Translation Services

You may be wondering why getting your foreign language documents translated by certified translation services is important.  This is mainly because government bodies like the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) are afraid of letting people into the country who have forged documents and are not who they say they are.

A survey conducted by the USCIS a few years ago found that 21 percent of the H-1B immigrant worker visa applicants had filed documents that were fraudulentin some way or another, with a high percentage of them being forged. This is why the USCIS is insistent that all translations are certified by a translator who is qualified to provide certified translation services.

Once you have had the required documents translated using certified translation services the administrative time spent processing your application is markedly reduced as the reviewer will be able to understand your documents easily when translated into English.

You cannot do your own certified translation

Government officials will not accept any certified translations performed by the individual applying. They can’t be sure that the translations are not forgeries. You may think you are bilingual in two languages but this is not quite the same as conducting document translations that have to be translated into the right style of language and format that suits the document.

There is a process that needs to be followed in a document translation which includes translating text embedded in a seal and if this is omitted there could be a delay in processing your documents and the next step in your life.
